FitBot Coach ("FitBot Coach", "we", "us" or "our") provides an AI-powered fitness application and the website at fitbot.coach (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details — such as your name, email address and password when you create an account.
- Profile & fitness data — such as age, gender, height, weight, fitness goals, activity level, workouts completed, body measurements, and water and step targets you log.
- AI coach interactions — the questions and messages you send to the in-app AI coach.
- Community content — posts, comments and likes you choose to share in the app.
- Support & contact — information you provide when you email us or request help.
Information collected automatically
- Device & usage data — app version, device type, operating system, and how you use features, used to keep the Service reliable and improve it.
- Advertising identifier — your device's advertising ID (e.g. Google Advertising ID) and related identifiers, used by our advertising partners to deliver and measure ads (see "Advertising" below).
- Diagnostics — crash and performance logs.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and deliver the Service.
- To personalize your workout and nutrition plans and track your progress.
- To generate responses from the AI coach based on your questions and relevant profile data.
- To process subscriptions and provide customer support.
- To show ads that help keep the Service available (you can remove ads with a premium subscription).
- To maintain security, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations.
- To improve and develop new features.
3. AI features
When you use the AI coach, your messages (and limited context such as your goals) may be processed by third-party AI providers solely to generate a response to you. We do not use this content to identify you publicly. AI responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete — see our Terms of Service and the health disclaimer below.
4. Advertising
The Service is supported by advertising. We use Google AdMob and, through AdMob mediation, additional advertising networks (including AppLovin) to serve ads in the app. These partners may collect and process your device's advertising identifier, IP address, and general device and usage information to deliver, cap, and measure ads, and to limit repetitive ads.
- Personalized vs. non-personalized ads. Where required (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), we show a consent request using Google's User Messaging Platform before any personalized advertising. If you decline, you will still see ads, but non-personalized ones.
- Your controls. You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings (Android: Settings › Google › Ads; iOS: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking / Apple Advertising). You can also remove ads entirely by purchasing a premium subscription.
- Partner policies. Google's handling of ad data is described in the Google Privacy & Terms; AppLovin's is described in the AppLovin Privacy Policy.
We do not share the fitness, health, or AI-coach data described in Section 1 with advertising networks for their own purposes.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:
- with service providers (e.g. hosting, analytics, AI processing and payment processors) who process it on our behalf under appropriate safeguards;
- with advertising partners as described in Section 4 (advertising identifier and device data, not your health or AI-coach content);
- to comply with law or protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the Service;
- in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition; and
- with your consent, including content you choose to post publicly in the community.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your account at any time from within the app, after which we delete or de-identify your personal data except where we must retain it for legal, security or fraud-prevention purposes.
7. Your rights and choices
- Access & update your profile information in the app settings.
- Delete your account and associated personal data from the app's account settings.
- Manage ads via your device's advertising settings, the in-app consent choices, or a premium subscription.
- Manage notifications and subscriptions in your device and app settings.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or erase your data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Advertising shown in the app is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Health disclaimer
FitBot Coach provides general fitness and nutrition information and is not a medical service. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any exercise or diet program.
11. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
